Stamford High Black Knights Marching Band

Congratulations to the Stamford High Black Knights Marching Band on winning their Class III Championship.

The Stamford High Marching Band has begun weekly percussion rehearsals. These are mandatory for all students wishing to play a percussion instrument in the band this fall. All rehearsals are Wednesdays, 6-9pm in the SHS Band Room (407):

Stamford High Marching Band Dates: Band Camp 2008
Monday 8/18 - Saturday 8/23
9am - 5pm
SHS Band Room/Baseball Field/Boyle Stadium

What to bring:
instrument - music - sticks/reeds/oil/tape - water - sunscreen - drill books - pencils - guard gloves

What to wear:
T-shirts - shorts - layers for morning/evening - sunscreen - hat - socks and sneakers
* The SHS Marching Band is a scholastic ensemble, and adheres to a dress code for all rehearsals. All students must wear a shirt that covers the midriff and shorts of an appropriate length. Sneakers with socks are also required for all members.

* All Tuesday/Thursday rehearsals run from 6-9pm.
* All Saturday rehearsals begin at 9am. Dismissal time TBA.
* All Competition Days will be full-day events. We generally return from competitions between 10pm and 12am.
* For all Saturdays, students are required to bring their own lunch. Students are not permitted to leave the school to get lunch.
