Jazz Ensemble
The Jazz Ensemble is an elite group of musicians that performs repertoire from the 20th and 21st centuries, specializing in swing, funk, Afro-Cuban, bebop, Latin, rock and jazz fusion. The Jazz Ensemble meets 7th period during the school day, and after school twice per week. They perform at school concerts, regional jazz competitions and festivals around Connecticut and New England. Past performances include the Norwalk Jazz Festival and the WCSUl Jazz Festival.
There will be an informational meeting for all students interested in joining the Jazz Ensemble in mid-November. The rehearsals begin in December and run through May, with performances from February through May.
