Stamford High's Winter Color Guard ends its season on an emotional high note at Championships!
Check out the photos of our practice at SHS and our final performance in Trumbull at Championships on March 31st.
Stamford High's Winter Color Guard ended its season on a high note, scoring an 87.30, surpassing last week's season high and personal best when they performed their final show at Championships on March 31st in Trumbull. The performance was full of energy and emotion as the ladies were sad to see the season come to an end.
The last day was filled with fun, surprises and some tears as long-lasting memories were made. Truth be told, isn't that why we all do what we do? Years from now, when the ladies look back over their best high school experiences, there is no doubt that this day will be ranked right up there with the best of them. As instructors, we couldn't ask for anything more. We're very proud of these young ladies and of all the hard work, sweat and tears that made up one great season!
Best Wishes to our seniors, Niki, Sophy, Cynthia and Stephanie and good luck in all your future endeavors.
As for the rest of you, we'll do it all over again, starting with our band camp in August. Anyone interested in joining and making your own memories, no experience needed, please contact Ms. Bagley, the band director at (203) 977-4306 or by email.
One final note, it was truly an honor and a privilege to work with all of you and watch you learn, grow, achieve and perform at your very best. This truly was a memorable season and all of you will be missed. Thanks to the band parents, helpers & our bus driver, DeWayne, for all their help and support all season long! Special thanks go out to our instructors Kathleen Goldman and Willie Dumas. Together, the 3 of us made one great team!
As always, my Eyes are with Pride!
Way to go, Color Guard!
