Band Camp 2007 has concluded, and I am very satisfied with the success of our ensemble this week. We have learned three of four parts to our show, and have given the students excellent marching basics training. This successful band camp is due in large part to the following people:
The Stamford Band Parents Association, Inc.
The Stamford Marching Band Staff:
Chris Perna, percussion head
Jennifer DiMasso, guard head
Chase Bronstein, battery tech
Tim Holcombe, pit tech
Tomoki Hirabayashi, brass/drill tech
Willie Dumas, brass/drill tech
Diane Hamernik, guard/drill tech
David Brush, for writing our show music and working with the pit and ensemble throughout camp.
Lastly, many thanks to the students. You arrived early and ready to work, and you didn't let sunburn or pouring rain effect your work ethic. You met our goal of learning 3/4 of our show, and have come a long way since July. Let's keep up this great momentum. I will see you at rehearsal next week, and again, thanks to everyone who supports the bands at Stamford High School. Let's have a great season!
