
Thursday, May 31st. In their final concert of the year the Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble played selections of music that they have learned this year.

Director Hope Bagley conducted the Concert Band as they performed: Deerpath Dances (D.R. Hoslinger, 1997), The Spirit of '76 (arr C. Grundman, 1964), A Copland Tribute (arr. C. Grundman, 1986), Summertime (G. Gershwin, 1935), and Invicta (J. Swearington, 1981).
The Jazz Ensemble also capped off an outstanding season of performance with their finest performance - performing works such as: Impressions (Coltrane, 1951), Misty (Garner, 1954), Afro Blue (Santamaria, 1959), and Haitian Fight Song (Mingus, 1973).
Soloists included: John Mahoney, Arielle Rubin, James Bisset, Matt Van Houten, Ryan Henderson, Brandon Hallowell, Stephen Esposito, Maria Pasquel, Michael Galgano, Eric Schneider, and Dan Bishop.
And finally, Hope wished the best to our departing seniors. We wish them well as they are off to many fine colleges such as Notre Dame, UMASS, UConn, etc.
