Color Guard Takes 3rd in Norwalk!

Norwalk Competition (Winter Guard)

Stamford High’s Winter Color Guard score jumped by leaps and bounds at the Norwalk competition on March 10th. New elements and drill design changes helped to improve our overall scores as we head into the final few weeks of the Winter Guard Season. The ladies are excited about adding more changes and improving their technical skills to score a personal best at our next competition.

Due to a late winter snowstorm on St. Patrick’s Day, Stamford High’s Color Guard and Percussion units had to cancel our scheduled competition in Naugatuck on March 17th.

Check back often for more recaps and photos. Championships are on March 31st in Trubull, CT!

Winter Guard Dress Rehearsal

Check out the photos of a recent dress rehearsal of this year’s winter guard program entitled “Habibi”- (My darling in Arabic).

The season started off with an evaluation show in Bethel, CT. on January 13th. It was a rare opportunity for the staff to talk to and receive immediate feedback from the judges while the students performed their show. With the feedback in hand, it was back to rehearsals to incorporate the suggestions made by the judges and then it was off to officially start the season at Brien McMahon High School on January 20th. Stamford High competes in the Scholastic AA division and we took 3rd place at Brien McMahon that week.
