What is Knight Music?

Knight Music is the Black Knights sponsored band competition - when other bands from around the region come to us! Bands from New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey are typically there - mostly bands that are part of the Musical Arts Conference. However, we hope to have many new bands perform at Knight Music 2008. If you are interested in performing, either in competition or as an exhibition band, please contact the Director of Bands, Hope Bagley, at 203-977-4306.

Where is Knight Music? (Historic Boyle Stadium)
Opened in 1937, Boyle Stadium was named in 1942 for the late Athletic Director Michael A. Boyle a teacher and coach in Stamford for 30+ Years. Boyle’s football coaching record from 1907 to 1938 was 229 wins and 14 ties out of 283 games played, which made for a winning average of .809. This was considered the greatest period of high school football coaching in the country. Boyle stadium is an outstanding stone stadium (no bags falling through wooden seats here!) seating approximately 3,000. Come enjoy our fine stadium and field.

Knight Music History
